The Descent of the Holy Spirit

Jesus sends the Holy Spirit in the form of fiery tongues on His Apostles and disciples.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name, Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.

"And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place" (Acts 2:1)

Hail, Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting." (Acts 2:2)

"And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them" (Acts 2:3)

"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, … we have heard them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God. (Acts 2:4,11)

"But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke to them" (Acts 2:14)

"Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)

"They therefore that received his word, were baptized; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls." (Acts 2:41)

"Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created; and you shall renew the face of the earth." (Pentecost Alleluia)

"Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful; and kindle in them the fire of your love." (Pentecost Alleluia)

Hail Mary ~

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
